My name is Richard Jackson, and with over 25 years of experience in Civil Engineering, my approach is let’s work together to find a simple, equitable solution for your project.

Throughout my career in Civil Engineering design and construction, I have worked with a menu of industries from Commercial, Education, Government Agencies, and Religious Organizations.

I created Jackson Civil Engineering in 2019 to do what I enjoy most, the hands-on approach throughout a project. I regularly meet with clients, subcontractors, fabricators, consultants, engineers, government agencies, surveyors, job site supervisors, and business leaders to ensure all civil engineering needs are accurate and timely.

Experience Includes:

  • Land development design, engineering management, construction management, and review of submission of various projects.

  • Manage projects and coordinates civil engineering aspects of site layout and configuration, grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, and water with engineering disciplines.

  • Perform stormwater runoff analysis, generate necessary design calculation and support documentation, and prepares appropriate construction plans.

  • Investigation of existing site conditions.

  • Underground storage water systems to include stormwater harvester system used for landscape irrigation.

  • Outlining economical designs based upon the availability of different grades and sizes of material.

  • Submission of design calculations for approval by local governing bodies and owner consultants.

  • Coordination of material deliveries to the job site.

  • Project closeout includes a final visual inspection of both the completed foundations and structure.

  •  Familiar with the following codes: IBC, UBC, ASCE, ACI, FHWA, and AASHTO.
